Built fast is not the same as built badly. But software that came together in a weekend almost always needs a clean-up before you can build on it. I know, because I have done it with my own apps.

What the check-up covers
- A day in which I read the code and click through the app like a user
- My own AI tooling to find the sore spots fast: duplication, oversized files, unused code
- I look at readability, structure, reuse, and whether it is built as separate blocks or one long stretch
- A worked-out plan: what is fine, what goes wrong, what it costs to move forward, and in which order
Fix or rebuild
- You do not throw away what is technically fixable. The only benchmark is what comes out cheaper
- Code that is not pretty but works fine, I leave alone. Every hour cleaning up is an hour not spent on your customers
- The repair work itself gets its own fixed price after the check-up
